What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is a branch of the health care field that addresses health issues without the use of drugs or surgery. The basic premise is the belief that, given a chance, the body has an innate ability to heal itself. The body needs no help, just no interference.
The body's nervous system controls everything that happens in the body. Everything you feel, hear, see, smell, and taste, every function that occurs (breathing, heart beat, kidney function, etc.) and every movement you make is somehow tied into your nervous system.
Chiropractors concentrate on removing interference to the nervous system by keeping the spine (which houses the spinal cord; a key component of the nervous system) properly aligned and functioning as well as possible. Therefore, allowing the body to realize its maximum potential.
